Cloud provider happyhotel receives fresh growth capital. Baden-Württemberg's L-Bank and Business Angels are participating in the Offenburg tech start-up with a six-figure investment, the company announced today. happyhotel helps hotels maximize revenue with cloud-based software. The first investors include Offenburg entrepreneurs such as Swen Laempe, founder of vioma GmbH and the two sevDesk founders Fabian Silberer and Marco Reinbold. The InnoWerft incubator supported the team in the first round of investments.

“Our software is an intelligent system and helps hotels generate more revenue in order to achieve the best possible return for every room. With dynamic room prices, hotels can get more out of demand. The adjustment of prices is automated based on our algorithm,” says happyhotel founder Sebastian Kuhnhardt. For happyhotel, the investment is not only confirmation even in difficult times, but above all an opportunity to grow. Because the entire hotel industry has some catching up to do to digitize their business and make it profitable. In order to create more space, the ten-person HappyHotel team is expanding its offices in Technology Park Offenburg in the coming weeks. The support and open exchange with Startup.connect and the WRO (Ortenau economic region) has already enabled the young company to get off to a successful start.

The three founders Marius Müller, Sebastian Kuhnhardt and Rafael Weissmüller see their enormous potential here. happyhotel is a smart, digital solution that supports small and medium-sized private hotels as well as smaller hotel chains in optimising prices.
“Our algorithm calculates the optimal room rate based on current and future demand. It is completely automated in the background and can be implemented quickly in a short amount of time,” says CTO and Co-Founder Marius Müller.
Cloud software with analysis area
In addition to the function of price optimization, the customer has a comprehensive analysis area at their disposal. “We even offer this at a free rate and are breaking new ground in the area of hotel software. Most hotels are amazed at what the analysis of occupancy, incoming bookings and bed occupancy reveals about the hotel,” says Rafael Weissmüller.
According to investor Marco Reinbold, happyhotel “has an innovative approach with enormous potential! ”. Summer 2020 in particular has shown that hotels are questioning their current room prices and want to adjust them dynamically and data-driven to meet demand, adds sevDesk CEO Fabian Silberer.
After the end of the second lockdown this spring 2021, happyhotel sees an opportunity to establish itself in the hotel industry. “As in the previous year, demand for overnight stays in the D-A-CH sector will increase enormously,” predicts Sebastian Kuhnhardt and continues: “Hotels should use the time and deal with dynamic prices today. So that they can respond to upcoming demand. Our happyhotel software supports you in this. ”
