The explanation of the term is actually very simple: The factor indicates the proportion of rooms sold by double occupancy. To do this, divide the number of overnight stays (i.e. the number of occupied beds) by the number of occupied rooms. It therefore indicates how many people stay in the occupied rooms.

The highest score is achieved in holiday hotels — depending on the type of room (and location of the hotel), the value is between 1.8 and 2.5.
