Please introduce yourself briefly and tell us what distinguishes your hotel or host role.
My name is Claus Kuhnhardt and I am the owner and managing director of Waldhotel Eisenberg Since 2009. We are a hotel with 38 rooms and are located in the Palatinate near the German wine route and right by the Palatinate Forest. We have a lot of business travelers during the week. On weekends, there are many short breaks who want to come to the Palatinate. We also have special offers for motorcyclists and base fasting guests.

Did you or how did you do revenue management before you switched to happyhotel?
Before that, we only had unit prices or we adjusted the prices seasonally.

What were the decision criteria for Happyhotel?
The big advantage of happyhotel is that you can work with dynamic daily prices and therefore always achieve the right price depending on market demand. We also use the autopilot function so that we have no effort with our pricing. Compared to other revenue management systems, we were impressed by the range of functions and the price/performance ratio.

What does the dynamic pricing process look like for you NOW?
We rely entirely on Happyhotel and the autopilot. So far, we have achieved very good results as a result. A really big added value is that happyhotel automatically transfers the prices to the PMS and we don't have to do any manual work.

Which features of happyhotel do you no longer want to miss?

How has your average working day changed since the integration of happyhotel?
I receive the report email from happyhotel every morning and therefore immediately have an important overview of the KPIs. This saves me the hassle of manually exporting reports from the PMS. I also save myself the hassle of manually adjusting room rates.

What is the best thing about Happyhotel?
Autopilot saves me time and earns even more money as a result. That doesn't exist anywhere else.

Have you already made any noticeable additional sales and if so, by what percentage have you been able to increase your turnover through happyhotel?
Compared to last year, we were able to increase our logistics turnover by 21%. Until now, we had no idea that our guests would also accept a higher price if demand was high. With happyhotel, we dared to take this step and were rewarded.

What are your personal tips for future users of happyhotel?
Happyhotel gives you an even better insight into your company. Thanks to the illustrative reports, we have already been able to make a number of strategic and operational adjustments. For example, market segment analysis has helped us restructure our market segments.

What do you want for Happyhotel's future?
I hope that happyhotel continues to develop helpful features for me as a hotelier.
