Please introduce yourself briefly and tell us what makes your hotel or host role stand out.
My name is Maximilian Tóth and I am the Director of Sales & Marketing, as well as the link between the owners at Abasto Hotels. With the motto “Find you perfect stay”, the Abasto Hotels stand for what we do best: being hosts!

Did you or how did you do revenue management before you switched to happyhotel?
Before the transition to happyhotel took place, yield management was carried out rudimentarily.

What were the decision criteria for Happyhotel?
The look & feel was important to me. How easily and quickly can I integrate and control our houses with our PMS. In addition, direct personal contact and quick support!

How does Happyhotel make everyday life easier for you?
I can manage and analyze our 4 hotels without spending much time.

How has your average working day changed since the integration of happyhotel?
I need less time to manage revenue. This allows me to plan my day much better, as I don't need hours to control our houses. In terms of time, I spend an average of one hour a day at Happyhotel. Spread over the day.

What do you like best about Happyhotel? Which function feels like saving you the most time?
Accept or reject the price suggestions or prices, of course. Simply control everything with the click of a mouse using my predefined strategy. As well as control individual periods separately.

What are your personal tips for future users of happyhotel?
Get involved in digitization and make use of it. The pandemic in particular has shown that we need to broaden our horizons. No matter which segment. All are important and must be played on. Set your prices in advance and watch the market. In combination with Happyhotel, you can then quickly and easily intervene and react in advance.

Digitalization in the hotel industry — what should a hotelier start with?
A simple, tailored PMS and a good revenue tool. That is already a good basis for digitization. Then come the subtleties such as guest service tools, etc.
